畑のイベントの感想文を英文で『立川・国分寺英会話スクール』

皆さんこんにちは！雨が続いて洗濯物がカラッと乾かない時期になりましたね。

今日は先日行われた、「キャメロン先生の畑のイベント」の英文感想文をご紹介します。

 

【Little Farmers Project @Cameron's farm May 14,2023】

I visited Cameron'a vegetable field last Sunday. It was an event where we could plant seeds and harvest veggies. Five families from Beyond International and two families from the U.S Base gathered there. I joined it with my husband who started learning English recently. Cameron and his wife welcomed us at their farm. At first, they taught us how to plant squash seedlings, so we tried it. We dug a small hole, then we planted one squash seedling. It was very easy and fun. Next, we planted peanut seeds. We dug a very small hole, which was about the size of a finger joint, and put one peanut in it, then we covered it with soil. The soil was really soft and warm. Many kids enjoyed planting it lively. After a while, it started raining heavily, so we were waiting while chatting with others in their greenhouse. I love moments like this. After that, we harvested a lot of fresh vegetables; red onions, kale, mizuna and lettuce. It was my first time to pluck these vegetables by myself. I was glad to have a good time and it was nice experience where we could interact with everyone. And finally, I appreciated Cameron and his nice wife. I'm looking forward to the next time.

先日開催されたキャメロン畑のイベントに、 最近ビヨンドで英語を習い始めた主人 と参加してきました。 ビヨンドから5ファミリー 横田基地から2ファミリー、 小 さなお子さんもたくさんいて、 賑やかで楽しい時間でした。 お昼までの約2時間、 キャメロンと素敵な奥様のご指導のもと、 はじめに前回種まきしたかぼちゃの苗の 植え付けをしました。 最近庭先のささやかなガーデニングを楽しんでいる私です が、畑は初めてで、柔らかくて温かい土の感触が新鮮でした。 そして、落花生の種 まき。 種まき専用のおおまさりという落花生の殻をみんなで割って、 準備していた だいた畑に指で小さく穴を開けて、たねを一つずつ埋めていきます。 子どもでも簡 単にできるので、みんなでおしゃべりしながら楽しい時間を過ごしました。 途中大雨で中断の時間も、普段は入ることのできないビニールハウスの中。育てら れている野菜の苗を見ながら英語を交えてのおしゃべり、ちょっと特別な時間で す。 雨があがった後は、お楽しみの野菜の収穫です。 つやつやのレッドオニオン、近所 のスーパーでは手に入らない色々な種類のケール、 新鮮なリーフレタス。 嬉しいお 土産いっぱいで、 みなさんとも交流できて、素敵な時間をくださったキャメロンと 奥様に感謝です。ありがとうございました。
